Erzurum Technical University and PLAN-S Satellite and Space Technologies Inc. A protocol was signed between the two companies, which enables institutional cooperation, especially on university-industry, education and research-development issues.

Within the scope of the protocol, the installation of PLAN-S Erzurum Ground Station was completed on March 10, 2023 with the participation of ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak. It was stated that the third satellite of PLAN-S Company, which successfully sent its second satellite through SpaceX in the past days, is in the process of sending. At this stage, thanks to the ground station established on the Erzurum Technical University campus, the second satellite communication station after Ankara, the company's head office, was established in Erzurum. Within the scope of the protocol signed with the said company, various academic activities such as graduate studies and seminars will be carried out in the future.

Commenting on the study, Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak: "Our university continues to work with the aim of being the pioneer of technical and technological research in our region.
