Erzurum Technical University (ETÜ) completed the Interuniversity Shooting Turkey Championship organized under the leadership of the Turkish University Sports Federation with 3 cups and 1 medal.

ETÜ Faculty of Sports Sciences students Damla Köse, Yeşim Yaşarbaş and Elif Gülerci rose to the first step of the podium in the Women's Rifle category as a team with the results they achieved in the Inter-University Shooting Turkey Championship held at the Trabzon Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports Shooting Range between 5-17 March 2024 with the participation of many athletes from 21 universities. He became the champion of Turkey.

In the Rifle Mix competition, Berat Kurt and Damla Köse won the 2nd place cup for ETÜ, while the Women's Pistol Team, in which Elanur Özdemir, Helin Toprak and Zeynep Sude Kaya competed, succeeded in coming 3rd.

Competing in the Women's Rifle Individual category, ETÜ's Olympic National Athlete Damla Köse broke her own record at the University Sports Shooting Championship with 629 points and won the gold medal once again.

Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak congratulated the Shooting team that completed the championship with 3 cups and 1 gold medal. and said: Our shooting team is growing and making a name for itself. Last year, we participated in the championship only with Damla, but this year we participated as a team for the first time and achieved great success by winning a gold, a silver and a bronze medal. Of course, we need to open a separate parenthesis for Damla. It continues to improve with each passing year. It's like she's competing with herself. This year, she improved her record and won the gold medal. We have great expectations from her. We expect to rank in the Olympics. "On this occasion, I heartily congratulate our athletes and our coach Mustafa Burak Çağlar once again and wish them continued success.''
