Erzurum Technical University (ETU) Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak attended the meeting held in Ankara on October 2, 2025, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). At the meeting, the "2030 Turkish Higher Education Roadmap," which will shape the future of the Turkish higher education system, was shared with the public.

The meetings addressed the strategies universities will pursue in the coming period, focusing on quality-focused process management, digital transformation, international visibility, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Furthermore, important issues such as new regulations that will allow students to graduate in three years, the restructuring of summer school, the expansion of the workplace-based applied education model, and the updating of quota policies were also discussed.

ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak stated that the meeting was of great importance for the future of higher education and that Erzurum Technical University would continue to contribute to the 2030 vision put forward by the Council of Higher Education.
