Erzurum Technical University (ETU) and Bingöl University have signed a cooperation
protocol in the fields of research and technology development.
Within the scope of the protocol, it is planned to develop joint projects, facilitate knowledge
and technology transfer, strengthen academic collaborations, and expand student-oriented
applications. These activities will be carried out through ETU’s Kristal Entrepreneurship
Center, Advanced Technology Application and Research Center (YUTAM), and
MUCİTPARK Science and Idea Workshop, as well as the research and application centers
within Bingöl University.
Through this collaboration, it is aimed to conduct joint studies in strategic fields such as
quantum technologies, advanced material development for the defense industry, autonomous
UAV software, artificial intelligence algorithms, and smart agriculture applications. In
addition, interdisciplinary STEM education, 3D design, and TEKNOFEST projects are
expected to support students’ participation in production processes.
Speaking at the ceremony, ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bulent Çakmak emphasized that the protocol
will contribute to strengthening cooperation among regional universities and stated:
“We aim to bring together the research infrastructure and academic knowledge of universities
in our region to increase technology production capacity and support the training of qualified
human resources.”
Bingöl University Rector Prof. Dr. Erdal Çelik also stated that, with this protocol, the
academic knowledge and research infrastructure of both universities will be combined, and
they believe this will help create a stronger technology production ecosystem.
