With the “This Eid You Dress Me” project, implemented by Erzurum Technical University (ETU) Faculty of Sports Sciences and ETU students, children in need were provided with Eid clothing and shoes.
Within the scope of the Volunteering Works Course, conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevinc Namlı, a faculty academic stuff of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, ETU students provided clothing support to 370 children in Erzurum before Eid al-Fitr.
Making statements regarding the project, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Namlı stated that the project has been ongoing for 7 years and said: "I would like to thank the senior management of our university, my friends, our academic and administrative staff, philanthropists and of course our students who work with dedication and dedication. Because without their efforts, we would not be able to reach so many students today. As part of the campaign, we do not only want to make one child happy from one home, we also help the siblings in the home while determining the child in need. We arrange their shoes and clothes and give them that way. We make all the siblings in a home happy."
ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bulent Cakmak stated that helping children in need is a conscientious responsibility and said, "Currently, the aid is being provided to children living in Erzurum. We have expanded the scope of the project over the years. We have also organized an aid program for Gaza. We organize these programs not only at the local level, but also at the national and international level."
