.ETU Continues to Increase Its Qualification in the Academic Field

Erzurum Technical University (ETU) is taking firm steps towards increasing its quality and capacity in the academic field.

In the new academic year, within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Aerospace Engineering and Architecture; within the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Department of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management will meet with its first students.

Stating that ETU is one step closer to its goals with the newly opened departments, ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak emphasizing that the Department of Aerospace Engineering is the first and only in our region said: “With the Department of Aerospace Engineering, we aim to provide all students with cutting-edge technical knowledge, practical skills, leadership qualities, team spirit, ethical values and entrepreneurial skills so that they can undertake any task in this field. At the same time, with the Department of Architecture opened within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, our students integrate the art of designing and establishing both functional, artistic and sustainability principles of buildings and all physical structures that affect human life; advancing on the path of science and reason; I believe that there will be architects with high national and international recognition, and with the Department of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, another new department opened within Health Sciences, to demonstrate the increasing need to specialize in the combined fields of 21st century, disaster management and sustainable development and to strengthen the capacity to respond to disasters, We aim to train individuals who are experts in their fields, who assume roles and responsibilities regarding the execution of activities before, during and after disasters so that disasters do not remain only in the status of an emergency or event. In this context, I wish our new departments to be beneficial, and I wish success to all our candidate students during the election period.”
