Cooperation Protocol for 60+ Refreshment University Programme Signed in Erzurum

A cooperation protocol was signed between Erzurum Governorship, Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality and Erzurum Technical University (ETU) to establish the "60+ Refreshing University" program in order to carry out educational, social, cultural and sports activities for individuals aged 60 and over.

Erzurum Governor Mustafa Çiftçi, Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Sekmen and ETÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak attended the signing ceremony of the protocol, which was signed to encourage active participation in lifelong learning processes of individuals aged 60 and over in Erzurum and to ensure that they have a stronger place in social life.

Within the scope of the signed protocol; Erzurum Governorship will coordinate the program with public institutions, provide guidance regarding financial support resources and encourage elderly individuals to participate in the program. Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality will provide transportation, social facility usage and logistic support to participants, making municipal facilities suitable for education. It will also promote education and social activities and support the program with its own trainers. ETU will be responsible for preparing academic content, organizing courses and seminars, developing educational materials and allocating university facilities.
