The Graduation Ceremony at Erzurum Technical University for the 2024-2025 Academic Year was conducted with corporate enthusiasm

Erzurum Technical University held its 2024-2025 academic year graduation ceremony at the ETU Stadium on Saturday, June 28, 2025. The university's new graduates were proudly bid farewell at the ceremony, which was attended by students, families, academic and administrative staff, as well as many guests from the Erzurum protocol.

Erzurum Deputy Governor Mehmet Faruk Kazdal, Erzurum Bar Association President Av. Mesut Öner, Erzurum Youth and Sports Provincial Director Levent Çakmur, Erzurum Trade Provincial Director Hüseyin Yücel, Erzurum Industry and Technology Provincial Director Ender Cihan Timur and Köprüköy Mayor Nevzat Karasu attended the ceremony.

The program began with a moment of silence and the national anthem in memory of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the martyrs. Then, the welcoming speech made on behalf of the graduating students and the folk dance show performed by the ETU Folk Dance Group were highly appreciated. The university's top student, who then took the stage, made his friends and the participants experience emotional moments with his speech.

Speaking at the ceremony, Erzurum Technical University President Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak emphasized that graduation is not an ending but a new beginning. “Today, we have come together not only for a graduation ceremony but also to witness one of the most meaningful turning points of your life. I have full faith that you will contribute to our society as individuals equipped with knowledge, morality and conscience,” said Çakmak, emphasizing that students graduate not only with academic knowledge but also with human and ethical values.

In his speech, Çakmak stated, “Your diploma is not an end, it is the key to new beginnings,” and reminded us of the great impact that seemingly small individual efforts can have on a societal level with the metaphor of “saving a starfish.”

The ceremony continued with the presentation of plaques of achievement to students who were ranked in their faculties and the presentation of diplomas to all graduates. The campus was filled with screams of joy and applause during the cap throwing ceremony; the program ended with a concert organized for the graduates and their families.
