Jiang Xuebin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of
China, and his delegation visited Erzurum Technical University (ETU) to evaluate
opportunities for academic and scientific cooperation.
Jiang Xuebin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of
China, who was in Erzurum to hold a series of meetings and discussions, visited ETU with his
delegation. During the visit, discussions were held with the university administration on
opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of higher education
and science.
At the meeting attended by ETU Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim, Secretary General Prof.
Dr. Ahmet Dumlu and Coordinator of the Office of International Relations Prof. Dr. Eyüphan
Manay, opportunities for academic and scientific cooperation between ETU and universities
specialising in engineering in different regions of China were evaluated.
During the meeting, particular emphasis was placed on topics such as joint research projects,
academic exchange programmes and scientific knowledge sharing, while potential
partnerships that could be developed within the scope of university-industry cooperation
with companies operating in China were also discussed. The parties exchanged views on
cooperation models that could be pursued through technology transfer, R&D work and
applied projects.
