2nd International Social Sciences Symposium Started Hosted by ETÜ

The 2nd International Social Sciences Symposium on the Republic in its 100th Anniversary, organized in cooperation with Erzurum Technical University (ETÜ) and Turkish Historical Society, has started.

The program, hosted by ETÜ on the 100th anniversary of the Republic, will continue for three days with the aim of identifying the knowledge of social sciences in the fields of literature, history, law, fine arts, agriculture and philosophy and bringing together scientists from different disciplines.

ETÜ Rector Prof. attended the opening of the symposium, which brought together many scientists who are experts in their fields on 19 different subjects, from Turkish education thought to printing, publication and communication, from Turkish foreign policy to economic approaches, on the 100th anniversary of the Republic. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, Rector of Ankara Music and Fine Arts University Prof. Dr. Erhan Özden, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Ebrahimi, Erzurum Deputy Governor Ahmet Özdemir, Turkish Historical Society High Institution Expert and Scientific Studies Director Dr. Yunus Pustu, Yakutiye Mayor Dr. Mahmut Uçar, academicians and many students attended.

After a moment of silence in memory of the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and our beloved martyrs who passed away and the reading of the National Anthem, Ankara Music and Fine Arts University Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Özden and Gazi University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. The program started with Barış Karaelma's musical concert and continued with opening speeches expressing the meaning and importance of the day.

Speaking at the program, Rector Çakmak expressed their satisfaction in hosting such an important program in Erzurum, the ancient city where the concept of Republic was first pronounced, and said: “As we realize the 100th anniversary of our Republic, we are aware that the century we are in is also the century of Turkey. In this respect, I believe that the symposium will be a useful scientific event that will raise awareness in the adoption of some new policies that will shed light on the next century. Universities have an important responsibility in keeping the awareness of the Republic and the achievements of the Republic alive and transferring them to future generations. Our university, which is aware of this responsibility, will make an important note in history through this symposium and with the contributions of you, esteemed scientists. I would like to thank Erzurum Governorship, Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality, Turkish Historical Society, Yakutiye, Palandöken, Aziziye and Uzundere Municipalities and ASKON, who contributed to the organization of the symposium, especially our organizing committee, and our symposium stakeholders for their support. "As I conclude my words, I hope that the symposium will be beneficial and I offer my respects to all of you with the hope that the national consciousness of 100 years ago will always continue," he said.

At the symposium, 77 scientists from 35 different universities will present papers in 19 sessions with the theme of the 100th Anniversary of the Republic in different sessions for three days.
