The Department of English Language and Literature aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to conduct interdisciplinary academic research in English literature and culture, and to apply and share their findings in national and international professional and social contexts.
Graduates of our undergraduate program, upon obtaining a teaching certificate, are eligible to work as English teachers in public and private schools, as well as lecturers at public and private universities.
In addition to careers in translation, writing, and editing, our graduates can also pursue opportunities in sectors that require cultural and literary expertise, such as tourism, ministries, banking, and media organizations.
Beyond secondary education and academia, they may also work in public and private institutions, particularly in departments dealing with foreign relations and European Union affairs within ministries and other governmental bodies.
