What is KA171?

International Credit Mobility (KA171) is a mobility project that is similar to KA131 activity but has some points of difference. The main point where KA171 and KA131 differ is the countries with which partnerships are established. While cooperation can be established with Erasmus program countries (EU member countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Macedonia, Turkey, Serbia) within the scope of KA131, cooperation can be established with countries from different geographies of the world under the title of partner countries within the scope of KA171. A detailed list of these countries is presented to your attention in the ''KA171 Partner Countries List'' tab.

KA171 projects are projects that provide higher education students with the opportunity to learn and intern in another country, and the staff of higher education and non-academic institutions with the opportunity to teach or receive training in another country.

What are the main objectives of KA171 Projects?
• To support the personal development and employability of students
• To support the professional development of staff
• To develop the capacities and international dimensions of higher education institutions

What is not KA171?

– It is not an extended version of KA171 activities.
– There is a selection process that involves limited financial resources and competition, and project applications submitted to the National Agency are subject to quality assessment.
– Project owner universities conduct ‘incoming’ activities along with ‘outgoing’ activities.
– Although it has similar rules to KA171 rules, there are points where it differs.
