Goal

Our goal is to offer comprehensive and innovative continuous professional development programs and support systems that enable all instructors at Erzurum Technical Univiersity School of Foreign Languages to refine their teaching skills. We strive to cultivate a culture of excellence, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing, ultimately enriching students' language learning experience.

Objectives

• Regularly assess the professional development needs of instructors to determine areas for growth and improvement.
• Design and implement targeted professional development programs, including INSETs, classroom observations, and induction initiatives, in alignment with the SFL Teaching Framework to effectively address these needs.
• Keep up with the latest advancements in language teaching and professional development, providing instructors with training on current research and best practices in foreign language education.
• Encourage instructors to engage in self-directed learning and maintain professional development records for future evaluation and reference.
• Offer constructive feedback based on CEFR, EAQUALS, and YÖKAK standards to ensure ongoing enhancement of teaching quality and professional growth.
• Promote continuous and transparent communication among all stakeholders, including instructors, administrative personnel, and related offices, to facilitate collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and the exchange of ideas.
