Mathematics forms the basis of natural and engineering sciences. Applications of mathematics are heavily intertwined with computer science today. Therefore, in general, mathematics science is perceived to cover a certain part of computer science. This does not diminish the scientific and artistic aspects of mathematics, but rather increases it. It also gives a new perspective to the philosophy of mathematics. Because the theoretical and practical aspects of mathematics form an integrity. Here is also the philosophy of the Department of Mathematics. The purpose of education and training in our department is to have basic mathematics knowledge and ability to think independently, to predict problems, to deal with the problems faced by different perspectives, to produce potential solutions, to think comprehensively and abstractly, to contribute to the development of society and science.  

Students who successfully graduate from the program are given the title of "Mathematician".
