In the Department of Basic Sciences of our Faculty of Science, which was established in 2010 at Erzurum Technical University, our students are trained on basic sciences. Basic Sciences contain the past and future of basic fields such as chemistry, physics and biology that we encounter in every field of science and life.

In this context; Our goal is to train the researchers who are in need of our country in the globalizing world and will be instrumental in reaching the level of contemporary civilizations.

Depending on the principle of “Shaping the Tomorrow Together”, our Department of Basic Sciences;

• Ability to research and publish within the framework of science ethics and rules,
• Has the ability to analyze and interpret events in their environment with scientific methods,
• Being able to follow the developments in the world of science and technology closely,
• Build effective interdisciplinary bridges,
• Ability to develop research limits in the field of basic sciences,                                                                                                                        

aims to raise individuals primarily.
