The opening and advisory board meeting of the project entitled "Main Action 202 - Invented Life", supported by the European Union Erasmus Plus Program in which our university takes part as the coordinating institution was held.

Project partners from Italy, Poland, Spain and Greece attended the meeting held at our University's Life Center VIP Hall.

Our President Prof. Dr. Bülent ÇAKMAK reminded that the internal turmoil occurred in Syria in 2011 in his speech at the meeting. Then he stated that transforming into a country that has received the most immigration from the process which started in 2011 to present from the country that sent the most immigrants to Europe after 1950s requires some institutional arrangements and preparations.

He remarked: “As Erzurum Technical University, it is a pride for us to support our country's migration policies and the burden of migration it shoulders with the contribution of our international partners within the scope of this project.”

Our President Prof. Dr. ÇAKMAK stated that these migrations brought along some measures. He also said: “Some institutional measures were tried to be taken with the purpose of preventing any instability on Turkey as a result of this incident and of finding solutions to these problems.” The meeting was finished after he said: “A social harmony of asylum seekers in Turkey and in the countries that are project partners is aimed to be realized with the Project entitled "Main Action 202 - Invented Life" supported by the European Union Erasmus Plus Program in which our university takes part as the coordinating institution.
