Dr. Mahmut TUTAM our university's Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Industrial Engineering is a visiting faculty member at Erasmus University to do his post-doctoral studies titled "Optimization of Order-Picking Warehouse Designs With Collaborative Robots" supported by TUBITAK.
The project titled "Three explorations in logistics and the supply chain", in which our professor participated as a researcher with the "Cobot order picking strategies" project, and proposed by a consortium of 6 universities and 11 companies, was granted a budget of 150,000 Euros by the Dutch Research Commission.
Within the scope of the project, feasibility for addressing the social problem faced by food banks facing excess supply uncertainties (ROSFEP-project), developing dynamic new cooperation strategies between humans and robots (COBOT-project) and developing transport corridors between smart transfer centers for automated transportation analysis (iCARGO-project) is planned.
As Erzurum Technical University family, we congratulate our professor for his work and wish him continued success.
