The "Ecology and Climate Society" operating in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of our faculty has been awarded support from the ÜNİDES (University Support Program) project supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports with the "Treasures of Nature are Safe: Combating Bio-smuggling in Erzurum Project", which aims to increase environmental and ecological awareness.

The project stands out with its goals of protecting Erzurum's rich biodiversity and raising awareness about combating biosmuggling. Within this framework, the project will be carried out under the coordination of Erzurum Technical University Molecular Biology and Genetics Department student Damla İlayda Kurt and under the consultancy of Dr. Faculty Member Murat Turan, and ecology workshops will be organized and certified training will be provided to the participants.
