Turkish Language Proficiency Exam (TDYS-3)

TDYS, which is an exam that determines which of the language levels specified in paragraph (a) of Article 7 of the Directive corresponds to the language proficiency of the candidates who want to study at ETUTOMER in 2023-2024, will be applied in the following areas:

- Reading-Comprehension

- Speech (oral expression)

- Written expression (writing)

- Listening

The first stage will be held on 29 September 2023 at 10:00-12:00 in the B1 classroom at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences & Faculty of Literature, where the signboard of our University ETUTOMER is also hung.

The second stage will be held on 29 September 2023 at 13:30-15:30 in the B1 classroom of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences & Faculty of Literature, where the ETUTOMER signboard of our University is also hanging.



Students can have water in a plastic bottle in a transparent bag (with the label removed), disinfectant, tissue paper, pencil or pen, sharpener and eraser.

*First stage; "Reading-Comprehension" and "Listening" skills (Reading Section: 40-50 questions, answering time: 75 minutes; Listening Section: 30-40 questions, answer time: 60 minutes)

*The second stage measures "Writing" and "Speaking" skills (Writing section: 2 questions, answer time: 60 minutes; Speaking section: 8-10 questions, answer time: 15 minutes).

Students who score 50 points out of 100 in the first stage pass to the second stage.

During the evaluation of the exam, the average of the skills in 4 areas (Reading-Comprehension, Speaking, Writing, Listening), each section consisting of 25 points, is taken and each skill is evaluated over 100 full points.

NOTE: Candidates who are not studying at ETÜTÖMER but want to certify their language level can also take this exam. The exam fee for external students is 1000 TL. (The fee paid is not refundable for any reason). No fee is requested from the candidate student who will study at ETUTOMER.

NOTE: (Students who will apply for the Turkish Language Proficiency Exam from outside the province can send an e-mail to tomer@erzurum.edu.tr by scanning or taking pictures of the following documents).

Firstly, fill in the application form given in the link below and apply to ETUTOMER Officer Serap SÜMBÜLLÜ at the Faculty of Letters Dean's Office with its attachments. (Click for Application Form)

Attachments:
1) Photocopy of passport (Students who will take the exam must bring their passports or ID cards with them)

2) Bank receipt showing that the exam fee has been paid (In the description of the payment, the name-surname of the student who will take the exam and the TYS fee must be written.)
