Turkey Air gun Championship of female branch shooting in the activity programme of Turkey Shooting and Hunting Federation 2021 ended. Erzurum Technical University (ETU) students won the silver medal in Turkey Air Gun Championship in the competitions.

A total of 530 athletes participated in the championship held in Mersin in 4 categories as Elder Ladies, Young Ladies, Star Ladies and Little Ladies. ETU Faculty of Sport Sciences student Damla Köse, Faculty of Sciences student Semanur Alpdoğan and Faculty of Engineering student Edibe Berfin Öncel became 2^nd in Turkey by grabbing a slice of history in the Elder Ladies category they participated.

President of ETU Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, who congratulated the students who competed in the competitions with participation from 4 different cities and reached the 2nd place on the podium,  stated that besides academic and scientific studies, they also carried out important studies for sports and athletes, and expressed his pleasure to have the return of these steps taken. Emphasizing that the Faculty of Sport Sciences has become a famous faculty in a short time, President Bülent Çakmak added that as ETU, they will continue to develop projects that bring sports together with the academy.
