Erzurum Technical University (ETU) has become the academic partner of China's world-renowned international technology company Huawei.
The application made under the coordination of Ass.Prof. Dr. Merve Yıldırım was accepted. Accordingly, Erzurum Technical University qualified to become Huawei ICT Academy.
First of all, Huawei will integrate many new-generation information technologies, including cloud systems, artificial intelligence, 5G technology, network and security technologies, internet of things, big data, and integrated communication services of academicians in the Computer Engineering department, and after the training, it will also enable the trainees to become Huawei trainers by giving certificates to the successful ones.

Making an assessment on the subject, ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak said that these training programs, in which high-quality and up-to-date educational materials will be provided to students, become more of an issue in terms of both theoretical and practical applications and for the students in their careers. ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak expressed his belief with the words: The certificates to be awarded at the end of these training programs, which are considered to be very prestigious in the sector, will be very useful both for the academicians who will receive training and for the students in their careers. Before ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak end his speech, he thanked those who contributed to the project and wished that the project would be beneficial for ETÜ.
