Turkish Language Proficiency Exam ( TDYS -3)

TDYS, which is an exam that determines which of the language levels specified in paragraph (a) of Article 7 of the Directive, corresponds to the language proficiency of candidates who want to study at ETÜTÖMER in 2023-2024, will be applied in the following areas:

- Reading and understanding

- Verbal expression (speaking)

- Written expression (writing)

- Listening

A1 30-44

A2 45-59

B1 60-69

B2 70-79

C1 80-99

C2 100

The first stage will be held on September 29, 2023, 10:00-12:00, in the B1 classroom of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences & Faculty of Letters, where the ETÜTÖMER sign of our University is hung. 

The second stage will be held on September 29, 2023, at 13:30-15:30, in the B1 classroom of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences & Faculty of Letters, where the ETÜTÖMER sign of our University is hung. 

Students can carry water in a plastic bottle (with the label removed) in a transparent bag, disinfectant, tissues, pencil or tip pen, pencil sharpener and eraser. 

*First stage; "Reading-Comprehension" and "Listening" skills (Reading Section: 40-50 questions, answering time: 75 minutes; Listening Section: 30-40 questions, answering time: 60 minutes)

*The second stage measures "Writing" and "Speaking" skills (Writing Part: 2 questions, answering time: 60 minutes; Speaking Part: 8-10 questions, answering time: 15 minutes).

Students who score 50 out of 100 in the first stage move on to the second stage.  

While evaluating the exam, the average of the skills in 4 areas (Reading-Comprehension, Speaking, Writing, Listening), each section consisting of 25 points, is taken and each skill is evaluated out of 100 full points.

NOTE: Candidates who are not studying at ETÜTÖMER but want to document their language level can also take this exam. The exam fee for external students is 1000 TL. (The fee paid is not refundable for any reason). No fee is charged from prospective students who will study at ETÜTÖMER. 

NOTE: (Students who will apply for the Turkish Language Proficiency Exam from outside the province can send an e-mail to tomer@erzurum.edu.tr by scanning the documents below or taking their pictures .)

First of all, fill out the application form given in the link below and apply with its attachments to ETÜTÖMER Officer Serap SÜMBÜLLÜ at the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Letters. ( Click for Application Form )

Attachments:
1) Passport photocopy (Students who will take the exam are required to bring their passports or IDs with them.)

2) Bank receipt proving that the exam fee has been paid (The Name-Surname and TYS fee of the student who will take the exam must be written in the description of the payment.)
