Erzurum Technical University (ETU) continues to attract attention with its sportive success as well as its academic achievements.

Turkey 6. European Open Kickboxing Cup (Turkish Open) held in Kemer, Antalya, between 8-11 April 2021 was completed with the participation of 1600 athletes from 28 countries. The medals were given to their owners on the last day of the competitions in various categories.

At the Kick Boxing European Cup organized within the scope of pandemic measures, Res. Asst. Cebrail Gençoğlu brought the European Cup to our country by defeating his opponent in the final with 63 kilograms in the Big Men category. Ebru Yakar, a student of ETU Faculty of Sports Sciences, competed in the same championship and won the silver medal in her own category.

Expressing that they are proud of the Turkish National Anthem by hoisting the Turkish Flag, ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak said that sports are extremely important for both academics and students to remain dynamic. Pointing out that the Faculty of Sport Sciences displays an increasing success rate, Rector Bülent Çakmak congratulated the valuable members of ETU Family, which has an assertive position in all national and international competitions, for their achievements.
