Erzurum Technical University (ETU) Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak went to Ankara and held various contacts.
Within the scope of the visits, which also included University Secretary General Assoc. Dr. Tuba Yetim, Rector Bülent Çakmak visited Erzurum Deputies Recep Akdağ, Selami Altınok and İbrahim Aydemir and Ardahan Deputy Orhan Atalay at the working offices in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, and shared information about the works of ETÜ during the pandemic period. Expressing their satisfaction with the visit, the Deputies congratulated Rector Bülent Çakmak and his team and wished success in their work.
ETÜ's Digital Transformation Journey Was Discussed During the Visits
Following the visit of the Parliament, Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak who was the guest of İbrahim Şenel, President of the Presidency of Strategy and Budget, visit talked about ETÜ's contribution to higher education in the country. During the visit, which emphasized the importance of trained manpower especially in the technical field, views were exchanged about the developments in Erzurum and its region and the investments planned to be made in ETU.
Later, Rector Bülent Çakmak who came together with Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance Dr. Şakir Ercan Gül, gave information about ETÜ's digital transformation journey and shared with Gül the innovations made during the epidemic period. Stating that an uninterrupted education was provided in this process, Rector Bülent Çakmak emphasized that the outstanding performance of the academic staff played a key role in this success.
The ETU delegation, which made the last of its Ankara contacts to the Athletics Federation, visited the Federation President Fatih Çintimar. Rector Bülent Çakmak, who stated that people who grew up in Erzurum and worked in various institutions of the country are proud of the city, stating that the Faculty of Sports Sciences within ETÜ has achieved successful results in many tournaments and that they will continue to give the necessary support to sports as a university, consulted on the construction of a closed athletics field on the university campus with president Fatih Çintimar.
