Erzurum Technical University (ETU) Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak and the accompanying delegation visited ASELSAN Precision Optics Center in Sivas with Murat Urkuç who is the Chairman of 1. Organized Industry Board of Erzurum, and discussed joint working opportunities.
Erzurum Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, together with the accompanying delegation, was the first guest of ASELSAN Precision Optik A.Ş., Chairman of the Board, Murat Şahin. Here, after sharing information about the projects carried out by ETU High Technology and Research Center (YÜTAM), ASELSAN Precision Optics production areas were examined. Rector Bülent Çakmak expressed his satisfaction for ASELSAN, one of the most important defense industry organizations in our country, opening its doors to ETÜ and stated that they are aware of the responsibility of universities in line with the domestic and national technology move initiated under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan:
Stating that a great step has been taken within the scope of university-industry cooperation, Erzurum 1st Industrial and Organized Area Manager Murat Urkuç said: “The meetings and consultations we have had with Erzurum Technical University for a long time have begun to bear fruit. We aim to provide added value to our city, region and country by carrying out joint projects with ASELSAN, a leading company in the field of defense industry, within the scope of this visit, where we bring together the knowledge of the university and the experience of the Erzurum industry.
The delegation then visited Sivas Cumhuriyet University and made observations at the Nanophotonics Application and Research Center.
