New saplings have come to life at the planting event held in the area opposite our High Technology Application and Research Center Directorate. In the event in which Our Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent ÇAKMAK also participated, our administrative and academic staff brought the saplings together with the soil. We would like to thank the students of the KTU Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering who entered faculty in the year 1984. They donated around 600 large saplings for the planting event. With this and the planting event held last month, our campus lands embraced many new saplings this year. According to research, an adult tree has the ability to convert the carbon dioxide released by 40 people into the air in 1 hour to oxygen in 1 hour. Thus, planting trees is an important task for humanity. We invite our nation to participate in tree planting events that we or other organizations will organize from now on.
