Within the scope of the Partnerships for Creativity Activity carried out by the National Agency within the framework of the Erasmus Plus Program of the European Union, the program numbered 2020-1-TR01-KA227-ADU-098071 and “Intergenerational Learning for Adult Learners through STEAM: From the point of Hofstede's Our EU Project titled “6D Model (STEAM Plus)” has been accepted.The duration of the project is 24 months and it has a grant of 164.939 Euros.
In the projects the coordination of which is undertaken by our university, Linz Johannes Kepler University (JKU) in Austria, the E-Con in Slovakia, Experience Workshop in Finland and Erzurum Institute of maturing take part as partner.
Muammer YAYLALI, Professor of Economics in Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in our university, is the consultant of the project and as the Project Coordinator, Assoc. Dr. Hüseyin DAŞTAN from the Department of Economics, as the Deputy Project Coordinator, Asst. Prof. Mehmet Emirhan KULA from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration as project specialist lecturer Eren ÖZBEK from İnternational Affairs take part in the project team.
The project includes various activities in order to increase the individual competence of adults by including them in STEAM activities within the scope of lifelong learning and to strengthen the interaction between generations. Some of these activities are the development and implementation of the STEAM literacy scale at the international level for adult individuals, the preparation of the common STEAM curriculum for Europe, the realization of STEAM pilot studies, the provision of STEAM training to adults, and the creation of a volunteer network and a multilingual interactive platform for the dissemination of STEAM activities.
