Our faculty members Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk KARATAŞ, Prof. Dr. Serkan ÖRTÜCÜ and Assoc. Dr. Elanur AYDIN ​​KARATAŞ have received national patent approval for their invention titled 'A Solution Used in Protein Isolation and Identification Procedures'.

Within the scope of this invention, a novel solution has been developed that is a combination of lysis buffer (RIPA Lysis Buffer) and loading buffer (Laemmli Sample Buffer) solutions used in protein isolation, identification, and visualization methods (SDS-PAGE and Western Blot).

The invention is a combination of two buffers (digestion and loading) available separately on the market: RIPA Lysis Buffer and Laemmli Sample Buffer. It performs both processes simultaneously, thus constituting a substitute for both products. This solution, by itself, also serves as both a digestion and a loading buffer.
