This year, seven names from Erzurum Technical University (ETU) were included in the list compiled annually by Stanford University, which ranks the world's most influential scientists.

The list, prepared by Prof. Dr. John PA Ioannidis and his research team from Stanford University, was published by the Netherlands-based publishing company Elsevier.

As a result of the evaluation carried out by taking into account academic performance criteria such as the number of qualified publications, the impact of the journal in which the publications were published, the number of patents, the number of citations, h-index, hm-index, the number of articles, the number of cited articles and the impact of the journal in which they were published, the scientists were listed in two different categories: "Career-Long Impact" and "Annual Impact".

In the list prepared based on the studies conducted in 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Güvendi, a faculty member of our Faculty's Department of Basic Sciences, was included in the "Annual Impact" category.
