Climate Change and Transgenic Biotechnology Workshop was held with the participation  of the rector of E.T.U., Prof. Bulent CAKMAK, the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Umit INCEKARA, many academitian, student and invetee on 24 April, 2019.

Prof. Dr. Umit INCEKARA, the dean of the Faculty of Science at E.T.U., Işıl BEDIRHANOGLU, a Respresentative of TEMA foundation, Prof. Dr. Suleyman TOY and Assoc. Prof. Zeynep EREN from Ataturk University, Asst. Prof. Ismail BEZIRGANOGLU, Asst. Prof. Aysenur YAZICI and Research Assistant Ayse USTUN from Erzurum Technical University attended as a panelist to the panel moderated by Assoc. Prof. Serkan ORTUCU from the department of Molecular Biology ang Genetic of E.T.U.

Prof. Dr. Bulent CAKMAK, the rector of E.T.U., thanked to all participants and those who contributed to the workshop which were discussed city roles on climate change, role of transgenic biotechnology on climate change and some other subjects about climate change. Then, he added that E.T.U. pusued a policy for the benefit of environment, the land owned by E.T.U. is 4000 square meter and 2 out od 3 of the land will be green field and he said E.T.U. have the biggest building of the Faculty Engineering and Architecture in the world and the building have the LEED certificate (Green Building).
