Applications for Short-Term Doctoral Internship Mobility under Project 2025-1-TR01-KA131-HED-000306711 will be accepted between April 24, 2026 and May 15, 2026 (until 23:59). Application details are below.

Number of Grants: It is planned to grant grants to 4 doctoral students. (The number of grants may change depending on the number of applications and the duration of the applications.)

Internship Completion Period: Selected candidates must complete their internship activities by December 31, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Enrollment Status: Must be a full-time student enrolled in a doctoral program at Erzurum Technical University at the time of application.

Grade Point Average (GPA): Must be at least 2.50.

Language Proficiency:

A valid English language exam result obtained within the last 5 years and accepted by ÖSYM (YDS, e-YDS, YÖKDİL, and other internationally recognized exams) must be uploaded to the system during the application process.

Please check which exams are recognized by ÖSYM and prepare your valid score. You must upload your recognized language score to the application system, which will be checked for validity and suitability by the International Relations Office. The turnaportal.ua.gov.tr ​​system will then calculate 50% of your language score for selection purposes.

Uploading an acceptance letter is not mandatory, but additional points will be applied if uploaded. (10 points are added to the total calculated score for the Acceptance/Invitation Letter submitted during the application process.)

Application Process

Applications must be submitted online only through the National Agency Application Portal: https://turnaportal.ua.gov.tr/

No physical documents will be required; all documents must be uploaded to the online Turna Portal. The portal will close on 15.05.2026 at 23:59. No documents can be uploaded or applications accepted after this date.

Internship Information

Scope: Internships can be undertaken abroad in businesses, research institutes, laboratories, or other related fields of study. Research-related internships are accepted for PhD students. Conference participation is not considered within the scope of internship mobility.

Deadline for Activities: December 31, 2026

Erasmus+ Short-Term PhD Mobility Rules: Internship mobility can last between 5 and 30 days, however, within the current Erasmus+ KA131 budget, candidates selected for this mobility will receive grants for a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 14 days.

Selection Criteria

Scoring: 50% GPA + 50% Foreign Language Score

Additional points:

10 points: A signed and stamped official acceptance letter must be uploaded to the system during the application process. The letter must state that the applicant will be working as an intern, not a researcher. (After the application period ends, the content of the acceptance letter will be checked for suitability. Only valid acceptance letters will be awarded points; acceptance emails will not receive additional points.)

15 points: Children of martyrs and veterans (documentation required).

10 points: Students with disabilities (documentation required).

10 points: Students covered under Law No. 2828 on Social Services (documentation required).

10 points: Students who, or their first-degree relatives, receive AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency) assistance (must be proven with a document obtained from e-Government).

5 points: Internships within the scope of Digital Opportunity Internships (cybersecurity, big data, digital marketing, etc.) (this scope must be specified in the acceptance letter).

For additional points, candidates must upload their applications to the application system within the application dates. No documents will be accepted after the application.

Deductions:

-10 points: Having previously benefited from study or traineeship mobility at the same level of education (doctorate)

-10 points: Not having been previously selected for short-term doctoral mobility and withdrawn within the specified period

-10 points: International students applying for their country of citizenship.

2025 Project Period Erasmus+ Grant Details

Daily Grant Amount: Individual support grants may be provided for one travel day before and one travel day after the activity. The grant calculation will be made based on the status of the existing grant before the activity.

Up to 14 days: €79 (daily)

15-30 days: €56 (daily)

Additional Support: Additional grant support in the amounts specified below may be provided to participants with fewer resources under the Short-Term Doctoral Mobility program.

Grant Support for Students with Fewer Resources (Euro)

Up to 14 days: €100 (one-time payment)

15-30 days: €150 (one-time payment)

In this case, no separate additional support is provided for the internship.

Travel Support

The amount of travel expenses to be paid to students participating in the Short-Term Doctoral Internship program is calculated using the "Distance Calculator".

Travel support is provided as a fixed, one-time payment, regardless of the round-trip ticket price. If the round-trip ticket price exceeds the total travel support amount, no additional support will be given; if it is less, the remaining amount will not be reclaimed.

The distance calculated in kilometers corresponds to the round-trip cost in the table below, and this amount should not be multiplied by two. The student's use of connecting flights does not affect the distance calculated above.
