Dr. Murat TURAN, one of the faculty members of our faculty's Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, participated in the Zero Waste Forum held in Istanbul on 17-19 October 2025.

Organized by the Zero Waste Foundation, the forum is one of the most important gatherings for the Zero Waste vision, which has become a global movement under the auspices of the esteemed Emine Erdoğan, wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The forum brought together academics, policymakers, industry leaders, and civil society representatives from around the world to develop concrete solutions to the waste crisis. 

Throughout the event, topics such as circular economy, innovative technologies and zero-waste life philosophy were discussed with a holistic approach focusing on waste management and lifestyle transformation.
