The Continuing Education Application and Research Center (AKÜSEM) of Afyon Kocatepe University will organize a “Certificate Program in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language”, aiming to provide participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of teaching Turkish to non-native speakers.
The program will commence on February 26, 2026, and will consist of a total of 60 hours of instruction. The training is structured as follows:

32 hours of theoretical instruction,

16 hours of live observation,

8 hours of practical training,
-
4 hours of workshop activities.
Within the scope of the program, participants will gain comprehensive knowledge on the fundamental principles and methods of teaching Turkish as a foreign language, instruction of core language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking), assessment and evaluation processes, material development, classroom practices, and current approaches in language teaching. The live observation and practical components aim to reinforce theoretical knowledge through hands-on experience.
