The photonics undergraduate program is an interdisciplinary program focusing on the generation, manipulation, detection, and measurement of light, and the learning outcomes of the undergraduate program are:
• Understanding and applying the behavior of light, electromagnetic theories, and the principles of geometric and physical optics.
• Learning the operating principles and physical infrastructure of photonic devices.
• Understanding the properties of semiconductor and optical materials used in photonic devices.
• Ability to design , model, and simulate optical and electro-optical systems .
• Performing characterization of optical laboratory techniques, precision measuring instruments, and photonic devices.
• Identifying, formulating, and solving engineering problems related to photonic technologies.
• Systems thinking by integrating physics, electrical and electronics engineering, and materials science.
• Transforming theoretical knowledge into industry or research projects through internships and project-based courses.
