The Department of English Language and Literature was established in 2010 under the Faculty of Letters in accordance with Article 7/d-2, amended by Law No. 2880, of the Turkish Higher Education Law No. 2547.

Our department admitted its first cohort of undergraduate students and officially commenced its academic activities in the 2019–2020 academic year.
