Prof. Dr. Serhat ÖZBAY, appointed as Dean of our Faculty, assumed the position of Dean from Prof. Dr. Birol SOYSAL at a handover ceremony held on October 21, 2025.

The ceremony held at the Dean's office was attended by our University Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent ÇAKMAK, Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Ümit İNCEKARA, our former Dean Prof. Dr. Birol SOYSAL, our new Dean Prof. Dr. Serhat ÖZBAY, Associate Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selim ASAN and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet MAVİBAŞ, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz BEDİR, Head of the Department of Coaching Education Assoc. Prof. Dr. Süleyman ULUPINAR, Head of the Department of Sports Management Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat TURAN, and the academic and administrative staff of our faculty.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Birol SOYSAL stated that he had strived to serve the faculty to the best of his ability during his term of office and that he was handing over his duties to Prof. Dr. Serhat ÖZBAY with peace of mind. In a warm atmosphere, our Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent ÇAKMAK presented Prof. Dr. Birol SOYSAL with a plaque of appreciation for his contributions to our faculty.

Prof. Dr. Serhat ÖZBAY, who took over the deanship, thanked Prof. Dr. Birol SOYSAL for his valuable services to the faculty and stated that he would work diligently for the development of the faculty in the coming period. Prof. Dr. Birol SOYSAL congratulated Prof. Dr. Serhat ÖZBAY and wished him success in his new position.
